There are 3 ways to use the current members of a new or an existing target audience. That helps you to easily structure your data:
Export CSV: You will get all the current people in the database delivered as a csv-file.You will immediately receive an email to the email address you are logged into CamBuildr with. In this email, you will find a download link.
HINT: If you need custom-fields within that csv-file, make sure that they are configured to be exported in the custom field settings. See belowAdd Tag to current members: You can add a tag to all the current members (snapshot) of the target audience. Existing tags are kept.
Add current members to Campaign: You can add all the current members (snapshot) into a specific campaign. That enables you to build target audiences within this specific campaign. This option is only offered while you are working outside a campaign.
Adding a tag does attach it permanently to every person in the snapshot, and it stays on them until you remove it; existing tags are kept. What none of these three options do is unsubscribe, block or delete anyone, and deleting the target audience afterwards does not delete its members either. Export data without a target audience
To only export data or tag people, you do not need to save a target audience. When creating a new target audience, you can already download, tag or add the people to a campaign, by clicking on the buttons below.
Export an existing target audience
To export an existing audience, click on the "Export snapshot" button in the top right of the page header (on a narrow window or a phone, widen the browser window — the dropdown is shown from about 1024 px upwards) and select the method you want the people to be exported.
What is always in the file
Tags: the file always contains a tags column listing every tag the person carries, comma separated. You do not have to configure anything for this — if you want to download your people together with their tags, a normal CSV export already does it.
If multi-consent is enabled for your account, each consent tag additionally gets its own column with a Yes/No value, and the tags column then holds the remaining, non-consent tags.
Every export also ends with four campaign attribution columns: acquired_via_campaign, acquired_via_source, acquired_at and last_campaign. They stay empty for people who were not acquired through a campaign.
Custom Fields:
By default, only the core fields will be exported. Do you also want to include custom fields in the export? In the settings, you can also include custom fields for exports.
