Configuring the Survey/Quiz Format in CamBuildr

Set up the standard multiple-choice Survey/Quiz: questions and answers, quiz mode, vote statistics, the signup step and the results screen.

Written by Domonkos Horváth

The Survey/Quiz is the standard survey format: a question with two or more answer options. Use it to gather structured feedback, gauge opinion, or run a simple knowledge quiz. For an overview of all survey formats, see Surveys in CamBuildr: Choosing the Right Format.

Creating a Survey/Quiz

Open your landing page, drag a Survey block onto the page, and choose Survey/Quiz as the format. Click Edit to configure it. The editor is organised into steps – Signup, Question, Answer and Thank you – which you can open from the step list.

Step 1: Question & answers

  • Enter your question text.

  • Add your answer options (two or more). You can reorder them or remove them at any time.

Quiz mode

To turn the survey into a quiz, tick Correct answer on the right option(s). As soon as an answer is marked correct, the survey behaves as a quiz and can tell respondents whether they answered correctly.

Step 2: After answering

On the Answer step you control what happens once someone votes:

  • Headline – text shown above the answer options.

  • Show answer statistics – after voting, display the vote counts and percentage bars for each option.

  • Show participant count – display the total number of people who have taken part.

  • Sign up after evaluation – when enabled, the email/signup step is shown after the respondent answers (rather than before). You can set the button label for this step.

Step 3: The signup step

Use the Signup step to collect contact data from participants:

  • Set a custom headline and button label.

  • Enable a privacy disclaimer and provide your own consent text.

  • Add consents from your Multi-Consent setup (if enabled for your account).

  • Enable auto-submit for known people so visitors who are already recognised (e.g. from an earlier signup) don't have to re-enter their details.

Step 4: The thank-you screen

On the Thank you step, set the headline and an optional subheadline shown after the survey is completed.

Styling

Match the survey to your page using the primary and secondary colours, background colour or transparency, rounded edges, and custom CSS.
