1. Mail Senders

The Email Settings section in CamBuildr allows you to configure verified senders, manage domain validation for better deliverability, and define ignore rules for signups.

In this section, you can define the email addresses that should appear as the sender in your campaign emails.

  • Click Create to add a new sender.

  • Enter the sender name and email address.

  • A DNS configuration will be required to verify domain ownership and ensure reliable delivery.

Once your DNS records are successfully configured, the status will change to Set successfully, and the sender can be used in campaigns.

2. DNS Settings for Domain Verification

To use a sender address with a custom domain, you must validate ownership via DNS records.

You will be provided with the following entries:

  • Campaigning Software key

  • Ownership key

  • SPF (Sender Policy Framework) record

  • DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) record

These records need to be added in your DNS provider’s settings (e.g. GoDaddy, IONOS, etc.). It may take up to 48 hours for them to propagate.

Use the Send records to domain administrator button to forward the exact values via email.

Once the records are set, click Validate entries to confirm setup.

3. Email Ignorelist

The ignorelist lets you exclude specific email domains or addresses from being stored in the database after a signup.

  • If someone from a listed domain signs up, the signup will appear as successful to the user, but no data will be saved.

  • This is useful for excluding test users or preventing signups from fake or disposable addresses.

  • You can block:

    • Full domains (e.g. @example.com)

    • Partial keywords (e.g. test) — which will block anything containing that word.

Separate multiple entries using commas.

Best Practices

  • Always verify DNS records for custom domains before sending your first campaign.

  • Use recognizable sender names for higher trust and open rates.

  • Keep your ignorelist clean and limited to known bad/test entries to avoid data loss.

  • Regularly review the status of your DNS records if emails are flagged as spam.
