CamBuildr's donation widget allows you to collect contributions through a structured, user-friendly interface. Fully integrated into your landing pages. It's designed to boost conversion, ensure data security, and give you full control over the user journey and messaging.
What the Donation Widget Does
The widget walks donors through a simple four-step process within your landing page: selecting an amount, entering personal information, confirming legal agreements, and viewing a customized thank-you page. Each step is optimized for clarity and speed to reduce drop-off and increase donations.
This widget cannot be embedded externally—it is exclusively available as part of CamBuildr landing pages. It ensures your fundraising remains consistent, secure, and easy to manage within one centralized system.
Configuring the Widget
Configuration is done via the Content section of the landing page editor. You can define:
Donation Amounts: Choose a headline and description, and pick one of the predefined amount presets (e.g. €5 / €10 / €25, €10 / €25 / €50, €25 / €50 / €100, €50 / €100 / €250) or switch to Custom amounts to enter your own three values. The middle amount is visually marked as "Most popular." You can also toggle Allow custom amount? so donors can enter their own free-form amount in addition to the presets.
Signup Form: Ask for donor information and optionally require ZIP codes. Toggle Always require address? to make the full address (street, city, country, ZIP) mandatory for every donation regardless of tax deduction. You can activate a disclaimer (the
%privacy_policy_link%placeholder is replaced with your privacy policy link automatically) and include multi-consents if your instance has that feature enabled. The donate button dynamically reflects the chosen amount via the%amount%placeholder. Furthermore you can choose a code and purpose for your donations so that they can easily be identified by your accounting.Tax Deduction: Enable or disable tax-deductible donation processing with a simple toggle. When enabled, you can customize the tax deduction text (the label on the checkbox the donor ticks to claim their deduction) and decide via Ask for address? whether the address is collected only when needed for the deduction. If Always require address? is on, the address is always collected and this step is renamed "Address / Tax deduction".
Thank You Page: After donation, supporters land on a customizable thank-you page. Dynamic placeholders such as
%amount%automatically personalize the message.
All sections are edited within the CamBuildr interface and reflected immediately on the live page. The currency is a global setting and can be set at the settings.
Visual Settings
Beyond the four content steps, the Settings tab lets you style the donation widget to match your campaign:
Main colors: Set the primary color (used for buttons and accents), the text color, and the background color of the widget card.
Background transparency: Make the widget card transparent so the page background shows through.
Rounded edges: Adjust the corner radius of the card and buttons via a slider.
For more advanced styling, the Custom CSS tab lets you add your own CSS rules targeting the block's element selector.
