Adding a Countdown to your landing page

Show a live countdown timer to a deadline, with each visitor seeing the time in their own timezone.

Written by Domonkos Horváth

The Countdown block shows a live timer counting down to a date and time – ideal for building urgency before an election, event or deadline.

Adding a countdown

  1. Drag the Countdown block from the Content sidebar onto your page.

  2. Select the block and click Edit.

Settings

  • End date – the deadline. The timer counts down to this exact moment and shows each visitor the time in their own local timezone.

  • Headline – optional text shown above the timer.

How it displays

The countdown shows days, hours, minutes and seconds, automatically hiding the larger units once they reach zero – so close to the deadline it shows just minutes and seconds. When the deadline passes, the timer stops at 00.

Styling

Customise the primary colour (active figure), secondary colour (labels), background colour or transparency, rounded edges, and add custom CSS.

Good to know

The countdown is a single fixed deadline shared by all visitors. It does not redirect, hide itself, swap in other content, or restart when it reaches zero, and there is no per-visitor "evergreen" mode.
